Welcome to the College of St Barnabas

 - a residential community of retired Anglican clergy set in idyllic countryside in Lingfield, Surrey, offering welcome security in a time of economic uncertainty.

As you explore the pages about Life at the College you will see the self-contained sheltered flats in the Cloisters where Residents lead active, independent lives for as long as possible, and the facilities in the Nursing Wing. Here we can provide both Residential Care and full Nursing Care for those who need it. We are proud that this enables most Residents to remain members of the College for the rest of their lives. We also offer Respite Care here.

The College is a community centred around prayer, and the two Chapels are at its heart. We offer weekly prayers for those who ask. If you would like to leave a request for prayer, please click here.

We also have three Libraries, a newly furnished Refectory and a Common Room equipped with state-of-the-art multimedia facilities. Residents can explore many different interests and all rooms have broadband access to the internet.

You can also find here a brief History of the College and learn about the Friends who support us.

I am deeply impressed by the way in which the College of St Barnabas offers dignity, warmth and constructive care to its deserving residents.  This elegant and eminently appropriate environment has been conceived, and continues to be developed, with rare sensitivity and attention to detail."
