Trustee wins major prize at Charity Golf Day

   College Trustee, Mr John Cope,
   addresses diners in the Clubhouse

The 2009 Charity Golf Day to support the work of the College took place in fine weather on 21st August.

After the teams had all completed their rounds, players adjourned to the Clubhouse with College supporters to enjoy an excellent buffet.

The winning team receive their prize
from sponsor Alex Jones
After dinner, the prizes were presented to the successful individuals and teams by College Trustee, Mr John Cope.

Mr Cope was, however, unable to present the prize to the winning team as he was himself a member of it!
So the prize was presented by the sponsor, Alex Jones.

A delicate moment - joint winners of the best putt battle it out on the clubhouse floor
An unorthodox solution was needed when four players tied for the best putt of the day - a coin was placed on the clubhouse floor as a target! The winning putt landed exactly on the 50p piece.

The day was organised by the College Bursar, Mr Paul Wilkin, and was also generously supported by Barclays Bank plc
