Registered Charity No. 205220

Welcome to the College of St Barnabas

We are a registered charity, founded by Act of Parliament in 1895 as an Anglican charitable institution. We now offer a range of integrated retirement options, from 28 Independent and Supported Living flats to Residential Care in our 27 bed regulated Care Wing.

Set in ten acres of beautiful grounds alongside the racecourse outside Lingfield, the College is next door to Dormans station with twice hourly services between East Grinstead and London, and close to Gatwick Airport, the M23 and the South Coast.

Our communal living and worship is based on our Anglican foundations, with meals taken together in our Refectory, and our full-time Chaplain overseeing twice daily services in our two Chapels. We welcome applications from practicing members of any denomination in Churches Together in England. Space permitting we are happy to offer respite and longer-term stays for non-Christians.

Financial contributions are based on a means assessment, and cover all costs from accommodation, utilities, all meals, Council Tax, phone and broadband through to cleaning, laundry and a twice-weekly taxi service to and from the local town.
